Being the symbol of love and loyalty for centuries, the Claddagh ring is one of the most famous, mysterious and wanted ring throughout the world. Almost everyone knows what it is, and what it means, and in Ireland (mainly), it is still being given away as a wedding ring to one's love.
The design on the Claddagh ring is interpreted as followed:
The hands represent friendship.
The crown represents loyalty.
The heart represents love.
The ring itself (thats my logic's speaking) represents eternity.
The Claddagh ring is supposed to be worn,by man or woman, in one of the following fashions:
On the right hand crown in, heart out the wearer is freeoff any relationship.
On the right hand crown out, heart in the wearer isinvolved with someone.
On the left hand crown out, heart in the wearer ismarried.
